INTRODUCTION
Practical guidance for businesses preparing for regulated growth.
Capital formation and compliance preparation require more than documentation alone. Organizations must coordinate governance, operational readiness, supervisory processes, disclosures, professional relationships, and regulatory considerations before engaging in regulated activity.
JetStone Capital Advisory helps clients evaluate readiness, organize key processes, identify operational and compliance gaps, and prepare for disciplined execution through structured consulting engagements.
Our services are designed to support informed decision-making, stronger preparation, and practical implementation planning in regulated business environments.

The JetStone Capital Story
JetStone Capital draws its name from jet, a gemstone formed over time under pressure. What may begin as overlooked organic material is transformed into something with recognized value.
That story reflects the firm’s belief that many businesses, founders, and communities have value that is often underestimated, undercapitalized, or misunderstood. JetStone Capital exists to help reveal that value through preparation, education, disciplined execution, and regulatory awareness.
Our Legacy Begins
JetStone Capital was created with a belief that private capital should be better understood, better prepared for, and more responsibly accessed.
For too long, many business owners have been underprepared for capital conversations, and many investors have been underexposed to the education needed to understand private market opportunities. At the same time, communities with talent, ambition, and enterprise have often lacked the infrastructure, language, and institutional preparation needed to compete for capital on stronger terms.
The firm’s work begins with readiness: helping businesses understand what investors, regulators, broker-dealers, attorneys, accountants, and other market participants may expect before a capital raise moves forward. It continues through education: helping eligible investors better understand private markets, risk, liquidity, and opportunity. And where appropriate, it extends into regulated capital raising execution through proper broker-dealer channels.
This is more than a service model. It is the beginning of a legacy built around preparation, access, discipline, and ownership.

Our Founder’s Journey
JetStone Capital was founded by Bobby Burks Jr., a financial services professional with more than two decades of experience across wealth management, broker-dealer, investment adviser, investment company oversight, regulatory compliance, and private capital preparation.
Bobby began his career as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch, where he developed an early understanding of investors, markets, client relationships, and the importance of trust in financial services. He later transitioned into a Compliance Officer role at Merrill Lynch, where his work moved deeper into supervision, regulatory expectations, and the operating discipline required behind the scenes.
He continued that path at Legg Mason, conducting mock regulatory examinations for investment adviser affiliates across the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Australia, and Singapore. That work sharpened his ability to assess policies, procedures, books and records, controls, governance practices, and regulatory readiness across different operating environments.
Bobby later served as Chief Compliance Officer of Brown Capital Management, the investment adviser, where he helped oversee compliance practices and supported fund-related governance responsibilities delegated to the adviser. His work included reporting to fund boards on topics such as liquidity risk management, frequent trading, and valuation.
Bobby holds FINRA Series 7, 66, 9, and 10 licenses, reflecting experience across securities, advisory, supervisory, and broker-dealer regulatory environments.
That journey shaped the foundation of JetStone Capital: a firm built to help business owners, issuers, eligible investors, and financial services firms approach private capital with clarity, preparation, and discipline.
